The Soul Food Diner

The Soul Food Diner is a smallish place that somehow lacks the characteristics of an usual diner. It appears more like a bar or cozy restaurant that had been crammed into a too small space. Mainly occupied by locals it's hidden away from the worst tourist streams and when the occasional traveler wanders in, they soon learn about the bad service, the place seems to be notorious for. 

Remy is nowhere in sight, nor is the person supposed to be working the bar. The kitchen however seems busy and apparently where the diner's owner is hiding, if the flurry of red hair is any indication. Not all tables are taken, but the Soul Food Diner seems remarkably well occupied.

Two regulars sit by the bar, keeping an eye on new arrivals. 

One of the best things about not having the need to try and look your best was the comfort of being able to wear precisely anything that struck her own fancy, where she before was always careful about trying to look her best as a spring representative, urged by her lost friend to always try her best to be perfect and look appealing to all gone. Ever since her loss and the assurance of how her role within the court meant both that her beauty as well as her status had been cemented.
True the role was new but in a sense also perfect for her, and with the new support of Inima so was she both ready to be out around people again and not truly care about her looks that much. Then again she had been sculpted into a flawless beauty and with training to further enhance even the most minute movements also meant that even in a potato sack so would she look appealing.

Walking around town with little Inima in her leash, no special aim in goal just walking around on a nice leisurely walk along with a bag of bottles to recycle for some money to maybe spend on lunch or at the very least beutify the city a bit as she passes by the diner and hears her stomach rumbling that all to familiar rumble, damn that internal plasma that fueled her very existence truly burned through all she ate far to quickly.
Wrapping one arm around it and looking down into the bag, she would need to recycle them to maybe pay for a light lunch but was hungry now, biting her lower lip and looking to Inima with a bit of hesitation. Standing still for a moment, shaking her head and heading inside with a tight grip on the leash.

Allowing the aroma of food to wash over her as she looks around, trying to find a place to be seated and maybe a waitress or some worker at least.
Heading over to the bar disk with a friendly smile toward the regulars and waiting, waiting and waiting, foot tapping on the floor as her stomach growls more and more, watching a few people enter and soon leave again, swallowing and seeing yet another group enter and about to leave upon not seeing any workers.
Dashing over to them, cocking her head and smiling toward them as she gestures toward a table, raising her throat and making a sign that she was not able to speak. Guiding them over to a pair of chairs in the back.
Nodding for them to stay as she heads back up to the bar disk, signaling for Inima to sit in a corner and jumping half over the disk searching for a pair of menus and walking back over to them.
Standing still and giving them a chance to look over the menu for a little bit, decide on their order and hurrying back to the disk right as another pair enters, looking around and quickly escorting them to a table right as a third pair arrives and quickly repeats the process.
Grabbing some more menus making sure to pass by the regulars with a soft gentle look, a flirting wink to calm them down and not say anything relying on her beauty to make them allow her to do whatever she wanted at least until the owner or some worker would show up and not have them upset, provided she would not steal anything of course.
Walking in behind the bar, grabbing a tray and starting to fill up a glass of water for each table, handing them out along with the menus and taking the new peoples orders as her stomach rumbles.

Rummaging her purse to write down all the orders followed by walking toward the door to the kitchen, taking a deep breath and knocking upon it, taking a step back and holding up three post it notes.
One for each table marked with a number and their orders along with a menu under her own arm to point out an order for herself provided she would not instigate to much anger from the chef.

The post-it notes are unceremoniously ripped from her fingers, without the chef even looking at her and instead five plates are set down in front of Aaliyah. "Table five and after that the two morons at the bar." Raising her voice a little for said morons to hear she adds "However Oren and Rainard can very well move their lazy asses and fetch their food on their own!" Remy is already turning back towards the stove. "You are late. Weren't you supposed to start an hour ago? Caitlin had to leave, so there's no one to show you around. Hush now, the food isn't getting any better!"

Certainly that's not what the spring elemental had expected. When Remy senses no immanent movement whatsoever she turns again, eyes widening in surprise when she recognizes Aaliyah. "My, that's certainly a surprise, little bird. Now hurry, your help is certainly needed."

Stopping in surprise at the sudden ripping of the post it´s seeing the lava elemental there, not having expected the red victor to be doing this kind of business. She was summers finest shouldn´t she be something else? Like a police, soldier or martial instructor or even a gym? True she herself was not the most common in some of her own fields but still this was a surprise.

Unsure how to react or what to do, just standing there with blinking eyes of confusion listening to her barrage of words and looking around whilst grabbing the plates. Turning to look a bit confused not even having the faintest idea of which table was which except for the ones that she had been seating and even then so were it numbers that she had assigned to them herself rather than the probably correct ones.

Eyes looking at her a bit confusedly, bird where did that come from? She was nothing of the sort, a dancer with dancing crackling flames of red and blue fire yes, a swan perhaps but this woman had never seen her dance a ballet to be able to call her that.

Turning toward the guests with an apologetic smile and forcing them both gently into the kitchen, placing down the plates, taking up her pen and simply writing one single word on a post it note.
"What?"

Looking down at herself and back to the lava elemental with a look that clearly spoke that she had no idea how to do this job or had ever done anything of the sort before.



Grabbing her tablet and starting to rapidly move her finger across it, pressing a final button and looking up at Remy as a sweet female voice starts to speak on the tablet.

"I am not a waitress, nor do I know the job, is none verbal, but can out for an hour for a meal of my choice on the menu.

Waiting in silence for the lava elementals reply and hopefully a quick guide to which damn table was which if she would need to hand out the dinners.

Sighing Remy sets the frying pan she was holding down and slides towards Aaliyah. Long strands of lava hair lazily float behind the champion as she rounds the counter to stop next to the spring courtier. "One, two, three, four, five, six, seven." she points out the tables in rapid succession and then turns towards the two regulars at the bar. "Dumb and Dumber." Oren and Rainard snicker, but otherwise appear friendly, they are maybe a beer or two towards inebriety already.

"Be nice, guys, she's our new girl and we wish to keep her longer than...well, the last ones. She's the silent type." Remy informs them matter of factly and then adds towards Aaliyah. "There all done. You got this girl. I'll feed you all you want during shifts and incase someone gives you shit for being not vocal enough let me know." She does not elaborate on what would happen then but it doesn't take much fantasy to imagine how that would go. Rainard and Oren attentively nod their heads like two guarding dogs, eager to please. "We are in desperate need of reliable staff. Caitlin cannot work 24/7 and finding a decent cook is a hassle, even in a place like this. Bring your dog if you like. "

Quickly turning and trying to keep up with the pointing, finding the mental pattern and trying to let it all sink in at a rapid manner, a quick look to the regulars to remember their faces if nothing else.

Looking back to the lava elemental with a quick nod and pressing a button on her tablet to make it repeat the words.

"one hour"

No more having had the tablet speak for her before bending around the chef with a whistle as Inima barks in reply signaling that she was in fact already there, grabbing the plates and hurrying over to the tables to place out the orders, reading into the emotional needs of the customers of who just wants to eat with their company and which ones who seems to need someone to be a little extra kind, offering them a gentle smile and spreading her warmth bolstered by her calming mantle.

Jumping behind the bar and starting to rummage through the area, taking a quick mental inventory only to hurry out and greet a couple of customers farewell and welcoming a new pair, quickly taking their orders with a soft gentle look upon her reusing the old notes she had written for the ones she took before she had consent.
Writing the orders down, sliding over to the kitchen door with a knock and handing in the new orders as she grabs the finished ones and delivers them unto the customers in a breeze.

Back behind the bar disk and starting to sort through the various things, tidying up a bit and creating a very basic organization to it all, grabbing a cloth and starting to wipe down the bar disk and out to the tables cleaning them off along with the chairs and back behind the bar disk.
Filling two glasses of water, cutting up a lemon and adding it to the water as she places them before the two regulars and putting on her charms, fully using body language and placement of her eyes once again utilizing that overwhelming mantle of hers to make them both drink their water.

Keeping up her task for about 2.5 hours constantly making the two regulars consume at least half on half water as well as she spends her time between costumers to keep the organization up, familiarizing herself with the system behind and most important of all being charming toward dumb and dumber by listening and making a face as if laughing without any sound coming out of her at all.

While Aaliyah tends to the guests she would find various treats placed on a plate to side of the counter where she picks up the food ready for serving. It's small bits handy enough to simply pop them into the mouth while continuing with her line of work. Like a hawk Remy would watch her from the corner of her eyes, each time silently taking note of what the spring elemental likes and what not. Was she on the sweeter side of things or spicy? In her mind the lava elemental slowly would assemble a classical meal for the other lost:

 Some fresh salads, half a club sandwich, blueberry pancakes, some spicy chicken, soft enough to fall right off the bone, fried sweet potato with a homemade dip, a few slices of medium grilled steak hidden under a heap of onions that have been stewed in red wine, a few mushrooms a fried egg on toast, a slice of cheesecake, warm apple crumble to the side with a dash of ice cream and finally some caramel fudge. 

All of this sits on the counter waiting for Aaliyah after two and a half hours of hard work, neatly arranged on several plates. When the most of the bustle dies down Remy rings the bell that there is a meal ready to go out for a final time and as Aaliyah dashes towards her, she's is already waiting  and slides the plates towards her. "Come, you must be beyond hungry by now. We can talk while you eat." Grabbing a few of the plates the summer elemental moves towards a booth to the side and waits for the silent sage to follow suit. Instead of sitting down however she turns towards the bar one last time, to secure each of them a soda and water for Inima. Vanilla coke. Another classic. Setting the glas down in front of Aaliyah Remy dryly comments "In case you are wondering, you are hired."

At first completely missing that the pieces were for her and just letting them sit idly by, then slowly starting to accumulate them instead of eating them, thoughtfully sorting them out waiting for a piece that would be suitable for Inima and not before finding a proper piece of meat that did not look like it would be bad for her so would she take them, head out and give it to Inima with a soft little scratch behind her ear. Going to wash her hands then start to eat her pieces in a rapid manner seeming to quite take most in, if there was one thing that she was hard with so was it food. Having been picky when she was younger for her figure and career completely gone now as she just wished to explore everything and did devour vast quantities of food. However with a careful look so could it be seen that spicy things did make her smile just a little bit more.

Excusing herself from the two regulars with a gentle nod as she hurries over to get the food, a bit lost on whom it was for. Hadn´t all her dinners been served, a look at the time damn she would really need to run soon to get on a walk with Inima, poor girl must need to use the bathroom in the not to distant future.
A look of bewilderment showing upon her face as she sees all the food, looking out over the restaurant and back at the chef with a confused look not sure at all where to bring them.

Listening and looking down at the plates with a growling stomach, damn why was she always hungry? Was this an issue shared by all of the hotter elementals? Curiously looking to the lava woman, her lava should certainly be able to burn through calories with ease as well so was this a concern for her or not?

Grabbing the remaining plates and whistling to make Inima come rushing over and get seated next to her chair, looking around a bit and heading over to the bar herself to grab a deeper little bowl to fill up the water in then seating herself after having given it to her.

Starting to arrange the plates in a neatly manner, taking out the utensils and starting to place them down with perfect care, each needing to be just right to heighten the experience after all and suddenly freezing, head turning up to look at the woman with a confused stare, a quick click on her tablet just making it say.
 "Huh?"
She had just been helping out as a one time thing that was all, not even looking for a job, nor did she have experience.

Noting the growling stomach Remy urges Aaliyah on to try and take a bite of everything with a simple gesture, internally ready to get up at any second and fetch her a second or third serving. She knows the gnawing hunger but hasn't experienced it in a while. The perks of owning a restaurant, although she had to admit that she rarely got to sit down and enjoy a proper meal herself. No time and eating alone...well was...eating alone. 

Pointing at Inima she states in a lazy tone "She should eat fresh and without too many spices. Is there something she likes especially? She's not a normal dog, isn't she?"

After that she lets silence settle for a while, sipping on her soft drink while she stretches her legs, all the while watching Aaliyah savoring her meal. "Did you enjoy yourself over the last two hours? You left my costumers quite happy and content. Well done, Aaliyah. If you want so would I hire you, of course I'd pay you a decent salary, plus tips. There's something else I'd like to ask of you."

Nibbling through the pieces of food, taking her time to try them with a rolling of her tongue savoring each bite and feeling the various blends of spices, mixtures and aromas as she lets them all fill her stomach and that gnawing hunger.

A look to Inima at the pointing, grabbing her tablet and starting to type whilst enjoying the treats of her labor.
 "She´s a trained and certified emotional companion dog other than that she is a purely normal Corgi I got for Christmas." 
Leaning down so softly scratch little Inima behind her ear.
"She is quite fond of meat overall and various light treats, I mostly get her the healthiest dog food I can afford."

Putting her tablet to the side, enjoying her food with delicate slowness, making sure no bite is wasted as she enjoys the new cuisine that was so far from what she typically tended to eat.
A soft nod in answer to the question as she takes out a post it note and starts to scribble down some demands and slides it over toward the chef with the statements of:
10.5$ an hour with a chance for a raise and tips are mine in full, no sharing or paying a part of it and only until school starts after the summer.

Cocking her head to the side as she throws in another piece of food into her mouth, awaiting the other question and her proposal to be looked over.

Turning the note she barely looks at it before shifting her focus back on the spring elemental. "Are you in need of a..." her gaze shifts towards Inima and back to her owner "...emotional support animal for fresh reasons or something that lingers for a while now?" Remy hopes Aaliyah understands what she is asking. The place might be hers but still they simply weren't private enough to speak openly about their second nature.

"Is there something I should be aware of or avoid? My tolerance for threats of any kind is quite low, for example. I might become a little more fiery than one would suspect at first glance." The summer explains. "Not even in jest, except you wish to deal with my temper." She states calmly and as relaxed as she might appear now, the lava elementals slow burning intensity gives an indication to her possibly eruptive nature.

"We can renegotiate your schedule once school starts. Speaking of studies, I would like you to teach me how to talk with my hands."

Looking down at the question, hands stopping their movements as a bark comes out from Inima before she quickly jumps up into her lap, jumping up against her chest into a hug. Her own hands wrapping around her just holding her close for a minute before Inima gets down and just lies in her lap.

Taking out her post it notes and quickly writing down one reply at first and hands it over toward the chef.
“Recent kindly don´t ask furhter.”
A glimmer of tears clearly shining within her eyes, not wanting to speak of the loss she had suffered that had sent her spiraling down this path to need the support of Inima. And clearly not looking all to well as the pain of the recent events plays out within her mind. Digging around in her purse to take out a certificate or rather a laminated copy and hands it over stating that Inima were indeed a registered emotional support dog through a top tier valid company and that she had undergone all the needed training filled with various other information regarding age, time of approval and other formalities needed.

Lightly giggling at the words of the lava elemental, she truly was a summer through and through. A quick shake of her head in response to the question as she takes a second note and begins to type on it before handing over over.
Further demands for employment:
1: I get to bring Inima with me and set up a doggie bed for her behind the counter/bar disk along with a water bowl and take breaks to walk her when needed.
2: One meal included as a bonus with each shift.
Request:
When things are calm I get to play my guitar for the guests, I can guarantee that my skills are more than adequate.
Note:
I will not be able to speak and will need to rely on written words and my tablet for it at all times, this includes reporting in sick through text messages.
If these are acceptable so will I agree to take the job until the end of summer.

Using her left hand to point at her right as she slowly begins to sign yes to the question and nods to agree to teach the lava elemental to be able to speak with someone else using her hands would be amazing.

"As you wish, I shall not ask." Remy promises with earnest finality. Only because they already went through the worst nightmares so did it not mean they were invincible now. Quite far from it. Remy knows from personal experience. Her fingers slightly grip at the checkered table cloth to keep her hand from twitching towards Aaliyah. Finally Remy sighs and reaches over to gently cup the girls cheek. Holding Aaliyah's gaze with her own and nods, her own eyes swimming with care. "It will be alright one day, even when it does not look like it now."

That's what she kept telling herself, over and over and maybe one morning it would become true. Dropping her hand Remy shifts their attention back to the diner. She wasn't good at this. "I already told you to bring your dog and that I would keep you fed, so of course, I insist. Also use the piano if you want to. You do not need to speak. Have you always been mute?" 

Lifting her hand again, Remy mimics Aaliyah's finger movements and smiles.

Shining up a bit with the guarantee she would not ask, they might share a freehold but to air her own issues with someone she wasn´t close to were not a thing that she really enjoyed. Then again she didn´t share it with anyone that didn´t already know from just memory alone, not that most people seemed to get more than a part of the truth though.
The sudden touch of her cheek feeling warm, looking up for a second before flinching back, shaking her head and getting away clearly not enjoying the touch of such a level so suddenly.

Moving the chair back a little with her feet and looking down at Inima, not really sure what to say as she just silently allows her fingers to walk over the tablet to speak for her.
“I prefer the guitar I am afraid, it has more life in it for me so sadly the piano is not my forte.”
They had always been a bit to large and none transportable removing the chance to just hide away and play as she did so many times before her durance, when the stress of family expectations grew to large. True she had a much nicer guitar than the one she preffered now back then but it was also void of the life her current one had.

Taking a moment before looking up and grabbing her phone with a shake of her head, putting the phone down and writing on a post it note once more, ripping it out and sliding it over toward the lava elemental with her number given on it. Pressing her tablet a bit as it begins to speak exceedingly slowly, her own fingers moving in tandem with the slow speed making each sign blatantly obvious and easy to follow as she mimics it´s words.
“I shall await my schedule then, do you have something I could borrow to measure with?”

Remy leans back herself, when Aaliyah flinches away and a shadow briefly passes over her features before it is entirely gone. Indeed, she was not suited for this. She was a weapon, nothing else. Her consolation was hardly needed nor appreciated. She should accept her place as it was. It wasn't a bad one.

The girl wasn't to blame and clearly stressed over some recent events Remy could only guess had to do with her blooming into her title. Loosing someone while moving forward was never easy. 

"As I said you can, but do not have to use the piano. I am hardly going to force a fellow lost and elemental to do something they do not like." Was it her imagination or did the summer courtier sound more aloof than before? "Be here sometime around like today, maybe a little earlier so you can catch up with Caitlin before she has to leave. Otherwise so no, what would you need something to measure with?" she asks not impolitely.

The shadow on the lava elemental completely missed, eyes looking elsewhere as she struggles with her own memories flashing by..damn she would really need to work on that part.

Eyes growing large at the words, quickly looking around her to see if anyone had heard or was even listening to them. How could she speak so freely about such matters?
Mask instantly hardening as she tries to eat a little to look more relaxed and not draw attention to herself. Damn wasn´t she supposed to be a red victor how could she speak of their world and out her so openly like that if anyone was listening?

Parting her lips to answer only to shy back a bit and look a bit saddened as no sound comes out of her lips, a quick point to Inima, placing her hands together and leaning against them as if they were a pillow to show that she meant for her doggie bed.
A quick tapping on her tablet then quickly going back to eating a bit faster than before.
“I will need a proper schedule though.”

Understanding dawns on Remy's features. "But of course, feel free to pick the most suitable place for her. "If need be so will we shove a few things around to make it fit."

Noting Aaliyah's discomfort she looks her square in the eyes, lifting her chin in an unspoken challenge. "Don't get your panties in a twist over a still very nebulous half sentence. The more unassuming we act while dropping it the more unreal it becomes, like it was never said at all. This place is mostly safe, but indeed so would I  prefer things to be veiled as usual. But this needed clarification. I am not a mind breaker. Bones yes, if need be, among other things, but let's hope this will never be of importance here."

Further observing the girl she leans back again, some of the tenseness finally leaving her frame. "Not always mute then." Remy states calmly. "The more regular you can work the better. We usually have open all days except Mondays."

Listening in on her words as she slowly eats, trying to enjoy the food and hold back from just gulping it all down in an instant, not really wanting to spoil the experience of new food or anything particularly made for just her.
Moving one plate to the side as she keeps eating healthily, seeming to have no problem to eat far more than her frame suggests.

“I am the opposite there, hearts are easy but bones not so much.”

Taking up her phone again and quickly typing in a message on it as she slides it over just long enough for the woman to read what she had written.
"I do have a task I would like your assistance with in the hedge though, to forge a piece of item forged from lava for you and one of plasma for me that is easy to wear like a bracelet."
Pulling her phone back as the woman looked done, typing in her name and sliding it over waiting for her to add her number, her name clearly written in just waiting for a number to be added before being saved as she takes a big bite of her food and gets up to start moving behind the counter to see if she could fit in a bed there, hoping that she would be lent a measuring tape or something to measure with.
Inima instantly following tightly behind her with a happy little wagging of her tail.

"You can pick a flavour you'd like to explore each day before you leave. However, what I make of it is my choosing enterily." Remy suggests and she nods slowly, gaze roaming over Aaliyah as if noticing her physicial perks for the first time. 

"I can imagine there are quite a few." she comments dryly and takes the note. Reading it she blinks slowly and slips it in her pants pockets and reaches for the phone to add her number. "We can talk about details after we closed down." 

Falling back into her chair she watches Aaliyah move, feeling too lazy to get up yet again. "There is a measuring stick somewhere in the left drawer to the cash register." she shouts and hopes for the plasma elemental to find what she is looking for. Something has caught her interest outside as she slowly adds. "Would you like to wear an uniform?"

Nodding in agreement to the words, not really being against anything to eat really the chance to explore new foods and tastes itself a grand enough reward for the job.
“I do eat a lot though so just make it a big serving.”

Cocking her head with a smile to show that sounded agreeable to her, a look out at the place making sure no new arrivals had come as of yet or if anyone needed her she was basically employed at this point anyways.
“The curse of being me.”

Searching through the drawer and taking out the measuring stick as she walks around taking measurements and looking where she might be able to place on that would be both convenient for Inima and that would not be in the way, making sure to focus on areas that was mostly under something else. Flushing some water and looking over every machine to determine that the spot she would pick would not be to noisy, or scramble in a way that would disturb her beloved little dog as Inima keeps walking close by her.

Returning to the table after about five minutes with a note of measurements upon it and the measuring stick put back where it had been before. A quick tap on her tablet as it starts speaking for her right as she sits down, take a chug of her drink and starts to dig into the remaining parts of her food.
“Uniforms creates a sense of belonging so yes please, feel free to design it any way you want unless you have one as long as its not something shameful to wear. How long until you close?”

Lifting an eyebrow she simply gives Aaliyah a 'try me' look, when the plasma elemental requests a big serving. As if she would not be able to feed the girl. Remy was more than ready to accept this challenge. "Just let's make this interesting by choosing a flavour for each day. There's a lot to explore and even after all those years it often still feels like missing out a lot."

Looking the girls more than pleasant frame up and down Remy asks "What's your favorite and least favorite colour? I never thought about it but having an uniform might be a good investment and create a sense of...branding." The summer courtier had meant to say something else but stopped herself from it at the last second. "The kitchen closes at 9.30 pm, sometimes later for I won't deny a hard working person that just happens to pop in too late a proper meal. Overall so try we to close an hour later. While it can get later it rarely gets after midnight and  if so, so would it be mainly my problem to deal with mostly. However I do expect staff to help clean up or do accounting."

Sitting down and quickly starting to finish up her meal and placing the tablet before her to be available to answer.
“I am quite fond of white, raspberry, magenta, bubblegum, regal purple and I really dislike cornflower and terra cotta.”

Eyes growing wide at the final words, looking to Inima, down at the plates as she hesitates a bit thinking it all over in earnest before sighing and starting to type on her tablet.
“Sadly such late hours will probably mean that I am unfit to take a position here, I have duties, responsibilities, Inima needs to be home in proper time for her sleep and to stay later or be uncertain will all be more than I believe that I can handle on the regular I am deeply sorry for having wasted your time.”

Taking a look around at the people and back to the lava elemental feeling a bit saddened over the fact that she had just been so cruel over her own lack of knowledge how a job like this would work, then again she had never truly worked a day in her life this side of the world.
“If you get in dire need of aid so will I help out during reasonable hours but sadly a position is not one I can accept, I am deeply sorry for having wasted your time.”

Standing up ready to leave, their discussion further lost damn she would probably have to handle that herself then. Still it wasn´t even certain that the woman was interested in getting such an item anyways.

"Wait. You are aware, that you aren't expected to work all the time? This is why there is staff after all. We are currently short on it, yes, but you do not need to cover all the hours on your own. That would be insane. How about we start with when you can work?" 


Maybe Remy should have been more clear on the matter, she doesn't know, but then again she herself had spent way too much time running the diner at the beginning herself. Or was this how springs handled their affairs? First appear like they would agree only to back out at the first sign of actual effort that would have to be made? She makes a mental note to not rely on Aaliyah too much. Again it was her own mistake for letting hope get the better of her. She should know, it wasn't meant for her. For people like Remy there only was heat and anger. "Or do you think I run the kitchen each and every day from opening to closing down? While I enjoy it so do I also have a chef, Sergio. He is currently away for a few days."

Running a hand through her hair she tries to not let her frustration show. 

"What about your other request?" 

Hesitating a bit, still standing up and just looking down at Inima, letting nearly ten seconds pass before turning around to sit back down whilst typing on her tablet.
“Mornings, I have never had a real job in my life though and I am working on a book and have responsibilities so I am not sure that I am a good fit.”
Making sure to not meet the lava elementals gaze, the chance to work might be interesting and fun but school would start in just a few months and...to be around so many people was she really ready for that? Going out iron side without Inima was still far harder than it should be, than it used to be, than she ever dreamed it would be.

Eyes wandering around the diner for a bit, needing to admit to herself that she hadn´t really thought about it at all. To her it was just things she had never needed to consider, and they were more than the mundanes around them, a lot more even so was that really so strange to believe? Heck even she did things faster when no one else was around so to handle the food herself didn´t really sound strange.
Softly nodding in reply to her question as she finishes looking around the place, arms wrapping around Inima in her lap as shame and worry starts to sink in.

Slowly writing on her post it and sliding the note over toward the chef.
"Its to be in contact with what makes us, and be able to utilize our contact with the element, walking around with a plasma ball is not exactly feasible."
