CTL Preamble

Settle down my dears, it's time for a story. New Orleans used to prosper, sure we had the occasional hurricane and the Springs would host some of the most insane parties you have ever seen whilst the hurricane battered The Big Easy. Then the dreams started, it was small things at first. Everyone noting they were dreaming more than usual, then noticing shared characteristics within dreams. An orange glowing vase, a wall crumbling etc. Pretty soon it was clear we were all starting to share the same dreams, night after night.

Some of us warned the sovereigns,  something was brewing. A new force, the likes that none of us have ever seen. But our concerns were dismissed as scare mongering by people who are no longer with us. Katrina wasn't even a warning, that bitch ripped through the hedge and real world like a bull in a china shop.

As the Spring Court led its usual Hurricane Party a hedge gate opened... all on its own and the power of the storm on both sides could be felt. The freehold sprang into action, all over town. Closing gates, returning its residents back to their correct plane of existence.

Teams of freeholders were dispatched into the hedge, trying to find what had caused this. They never returned... Katrina subsided and we were left with the rubble, our courts trying to rebuild not just our homes but the freehold too. That is when offerings were left at one of the hedge gates. Personal belongings of our beloved freehold members, covered in blood. It was a warning. 

A new area was noticed within the hedge shortly after... those that enter have never returned... their belongings returned to us, covered in blood. Even those that have tried to use out of the box thinking are not safe, the Autumn that used a drone... the drone was returned.. in pieces. Its owner.... found in a coma.

So be carefull children, we still have no idea what is out there and if you are faced between running into an area that looks and feels wrong or facing off one of the Gentry... well I would pick the Gentry any day... you have more of a chance of surviving that encounter.
